Spring cleaning in Winter?

Why is it i go through a spring cleaning in Winter.
Maybe its because i live in the south and by the time "spring" hits us its already 90 degrees, well the spring cleaning bug has hit and so has the redo bug.
Almost 3 years ago we embarked on a remodel, we added a beautiful den/family room onto our home, and with that den came 3 other rooms that was once our old den, a computer room, dining room and a foyer.
I was suppose to get a sewing/craft room but money and energy gave out:( Energy was way gone as my Husband and I did 90%of the work ourselves, we had a builder do the main stuff, but hubby and i did insulation, sheetrock, trimming, flooring, you name it we did it, there were laughter, sweat and tears, and yes there are still somethings I need to finish, little things that people would not notice, but I was give out. Lets just say since then I have hardley even moved furniture around and thats a biggy since I used to change things all the time.
Well in the next few weeks we are going to start changing things again, guess its like giving birth to your children, after a while you forget the pain and do it all over again. But this time no major building.
I am a Interior Decorator(without a job) and I love crafts, I sew, crochet, cross stitch, you name it I do it, and my girls are getting involved to also, we have stuff everywhere and if we want to sew its a major mess a constructive mess but a mess. They are sharing a room right now because my brother and his wife moved in a few months ago until they could save up to get them a place, well they are getting them a place in the next few weeks, so we got to talking, hmmmmm you are sharing a room now why not continue and take the other room and make it our craft haven, lots of clapping, jumping up and down, yays and high fives we put a plan into action.
So I thought I would document this new journey, it will be done on Thrift store finds and lots of labor and hopefully Love, so onto a grown up bedroom for 2 growing girls and a creative haven.

Dear Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs),

Since you are running out of ideas for Dirty Jobs I can give you a lot of seasons here at our home.
There will be poop involved just like you love.
And I am sorry but you cannot film in 1 day, it's ongoing.
I promise that at the end of 1 taping you will be dirty and tired.
Yes you will need gloves and masks, even a coverall if you want one.

Life is Good

Been a while since I have been on here, lol

Both my kids are in school, quiet, quiet, quiet! For the first time since I was like 10 years old I am not caring for children during the day at least :) I had full responsiblity of my siblings by the age of 12, so right now I am taking a needed rest. It has taken me a while to get used to it, and I fought it, but I knew I needed to. After 6 kids you get tired, lol
My Husband works from home now about 60% of the time, so we are reconnecting and having fun.
My dad and Karen wil be here for Christmas, I am so excited!!!!!! I have not had a Christmas with my dad since I was 3, the girls do not know I am keeping it a suprise! They will be here for 2 weeks, I feel like a kid, when I think about it my insides jump up and down, I am having to hide this from the girls, lol
Well I need to run.....

What a Summer!

After almost 8 years I finally got to go to Ohio! Dad and Karen came down for a vacation, we spent 2 days here and the rest at the beach, woohoo! While they were here the girls and I decided to go back with them, spend 2 weeks and then David would come and spend a week. We had the best time!!!! I suprised my grandparents, that was the best homecoming!

I spent a lot of time in a car, my grandparents live 30 minutes from my Dad, he's in Kenton and they are in Marion, the girls and I did stay with my grandparents a few nights here and there, but I did not want to overburden them , my grandmother thought she had to cook a 10 course meal for every meal when I was there, lol.

We did all kinds of things! Went to the Columbus zoo, found a WONDERFUL antique warehouse in Mt. Victory, my SUV was packed on our way home, my dads Amish Friend Levi, had me a rocker made for crocheting, cross stitching etc... in, I LOVE my rocker, it is perfect! Yes in Kenton there are a lot of Amish, we had Amish bread and pies, banana bread everyday!

Dad and Karens house will be 100 years old in 2 years, an old farmhouse in the country, it is beautiful where they live. The weather! ahhhhh when we left our house it was 103, we get to Kenton, took 12 hours to get to Marion, Dad dropped us all off at my grandparents while he had to run to Alliance to drop off 3 horses and 2 dogs, so by the time we got to the farmhouse, I had not slept in 30 hours and it was in the 50's , lets just say I was shaking so bad from the cold, while it was really not that cold, coming from 103 which I am used to and it being in the high 80's at night here to going to low 70's during the day and low fifties at night, I was having problems, lol Finally they found me a sweatshirt jacket and it took me about a week to get used to the weather. Then David got there and he went through the same thing, lol Then we come home to HOT weather, can't stand to be outside!

Got a new hairdo while in Ohio, got to love how my Stepmom is a hair stylist :)

I miss being there, but we are goingot do this every summer, next year we are staying the whole month of June! No lie but Karen just quit crying over the phone 2 days ago, she misses us, my dad called me 2 days ago and told me the house don't feel right and it's not the same without us, that was a shock! But they call everyday now :) As a matter of fact it was 1 hour and 45 minutes on the phone with them last night, lol

The girls don't know it but they are coming for 2 weeks for Christmas, we are so excited! (David and I)

School starts in 3 weeks here! Both of mine will be in school this year, KL will be in Middle school, and Nat starts in kinder. Schools opened yesteday and I had a meeting, Nat went with me, she told our principle how many more days it was until school starts, she is counting down the days, lol This will be the first time with no kids in our married life, thats 14 years.

David wanted me to take a year off, but it does not look that way, things are coming together for me to open a Antique store and I am so excited! So between that and decorating on the side I will be busy, but doing something I love and yet can be there for my husband and kids still :)

There will be more posts, so much happened,lo

1 Billion dollars

I did that in my best Dr. Evil voice.
Thats how much if I ever sell this house I want for it,LOL! RIGHT! But's thats how much pain and suffering has gone into this home, I feel like it anyway.
Supposedly by Saterday the furniture should be moved back in. If I ever have to go into Lowes again this week, I think I will cry, never thought I would be sick of going into there. Pretty bad when the employees know you by now. Pretty bad when the sale booklet that runs until the 12th of May has $10.00 off when you purchase $50.00, they hand me stacks of them, no lie! And then someone the other day when Nat and I were looking at decorative mouldings, someone took my stack out of my cart! Left me 1, yes you can go up front and get them, but they could have asked.
We did have a mini break though, last week, we were suppose to go out of town for our anniversary on the 11th,(10th was the day) well the lady who owns the beach house came to David and told him it was open all the next week, ohlala! Dare we! I went to kl's school, talked with her teacher, she just got done with the big testing that day, she said take her and go! We did not tell the kids at all, they knew we were going away for the weekend anyway just the 2 of us, my inlaws were going to keep them, so that Friday night they kept them as planned, and David and I , packed for a weeks beach vacation, we showed up the next morning and told them we decided to take them with us for our trip, they were excited! We did not say where we were going, or that Kl was out of school, in Dothan AL. Nat did say, hey this is the way to the beach, we tried to keep them entertained with DVD's We were almost there, when they did not want a dvd on after Shrek went off, we tried all kinds of things, I spy etc.... trying to keep them entertained until we hit the bridge, well finally we made it to the bridge and we had 2 very excited girls! Kl had it double when she found out she was out of school, lol
Natalie considers the beach house hers, just the day before she cried asking to go, we all love the place, but she LOVES it! As soon as we get there, she is first in the house with her bag, and unpacks her clothes.
It was to cool to go swimming, but we had a great time! The lady who owns the place, daughter and husband is buying a townhouse down the road from us, so we stopped and was talking to her on our way back to Lowes and we were explaining how Nat feels about the house, so it is now called Nats house, and Nat was told it was hers, oh boy!

I am so tired I can sleep standing up, but I have crown moulding to paint today and then hang it later.
Anyone want to buy a house for 1 Billion dollars? LOL
