Dear Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs),

Since you are running out of ideas for Dirty Jobs I can give you a lot of seasons here at our home.
There will be poop involved just like you love.
And I am sorry but you cannot film in 1 day, it's ongoing.
I promise that at the end of 1 taping you will be dirty and tired.
Yes you will need gloves and masks, even a coverall if you want one.

Life is Good

Been a while since I have been on here, lol

Both my kids are in school, quiet, quiet, quiet! For the first time since I was like 10 years old I am not caring for children during the day at least :) I had full responsiblity of my siblings by the age of 12, so right now I am taking a needed rest. It has taken me a while to get used to it, and I fought it, but I knew I needed to. After 6 kids you get tired, lol
My Husband works from home now about 60% of the time, so we are reconnecting and having fun.
My dad and Karen wil be here for Christmas, I am so excited!!!!!! I have not had a Christmas with my dad since I was 3, the girls do not know I am keeping it a suprise! They will be here for 2 weeks, I feel like a kid, when I think about it my insides jump up and down, I am having to hide this from the girls, lol
Well I need to run.....

What a Summer!

After almost 8 years I finally got to go to Ohio! Dad and Karen came down for a vacation, we spent 2 days here and the rest at the beach, woohoo! While they were here the girls and I decided to go back with them, spend 2 weeks and then David would come and spend a week. We had the best time!!!! I suprised my grandparents, that was the best homecoming!

I spent a lot of time in a car, my grandparents live 30 minutes from my Dad, he's in Kenton and they are in Marion, the girls and I did stay with my grandparents a few nights here and there, but I did not want to overburden them , my grandmother thought she had to cook a 10 course meal for every meal when I was there, lol.

We did all kinds of things! Went to the Columbus zoo, found a WONDERFUL antique warehouse in Mt. Victory, my SUV was packed on our way home, my dads Amish Friend Levi, had me a rocker made for crocheting, cross stitching etc... in, I LOVE my rocker, it is perfect! Yes in Kenton there are a lot of Amish, we had Amish bread and pies, banana bread everyday!

Dad and Karens house will be 100 years old in 2 years, an old farmhouse in the country, it is beautiful where they live. The weather! ahhhhh when we left our house it was 103, we get to Kenton, took 12 hours to get to Marion, Dad dropped us all off at my grandparents while he had to run to Alliance to drop off 3 horses and 2 dogs, so by the time we got to the farmhouse, I had not slept in 30 hours and it was in the 50's , lets just say I was shaking so bad from the cold, while it was really not that cold, coming from 103 which I am used to and it being in the high 80's at night here to going to low 70's during the day and low fifties at night, I was having problems, lol Finally they found me a sweatshirt jacket and it took me about a week to get used to the weather. Then David got there and he went through the same thing, lol Then we come home to HOT weather, can't stand to be outside!

Got a new hairdo while in Ohio, got to love how my Stepmom is a hair stylist :)

I miss being there, but we are goingot do this every summer, next year we are staying the whole month of June! No lie but Karen just quit crying over the phone 2 days ago, she misses us, my dad called me 2 days ago and told me the house don't feel right and it's not the same without us, that was a shock! But they call everyday now :) As a matter of fact it was 1 hour and 45 minutes on the phone with them last night, lol

The girls don't know it but they are coming for 2 weeks for Christmas, we are so excited! (David and I)

School starts in 3 weeks here! Both of mine will be in school this year, KL will be in Middle school, and Nat starts in kinder. Schools opened yesteday and I had a meeting, Nat went with me, she told our principle how many more days it was until school starts, she is counting down the days, lol This will be the first time with no kids in our married life, thats 14 years.

David wanted me to take a year off, but it does not look that way, things are coming together for me to open a Antique store and I am so excited! So between that and decorating on the side I will be busy, but doing something I love and yet can be there for my husband and kids still :)

There will be more posts, so much happened,lo

1 Billion dollars

I did that in my best Dr. Evil voice.
Thats how much if I ever sell this house I want for it,LOL! RIGHT! But's thats how much pain and suffering has gone into this home, I feel like it anyway.
Supposedly by Saterday the furniture should be moved back in. If I ever have to go into Lowes again this week, I think I will cry, never thought I would be sick of going into there. Pretty bad when the employees know you by now. Pretty bad when the sale booklet that runs until the 12th of May has $10.00 off when you purchase $50.00, they hand me stacks of them, no lie! And then someone the other day when Nat and I were looking at decorative mouldings, someone took my stack out of my cart! Left me 1, yes you can go up front and get them, but they could have asked.
We did have a mini break though, last week, we were suppose to go out of town for our anniversary on the 11th,(10th was the day) well the lady who owns the beach house came to David and told him it was open all the next week, ohlala! Dare we! I went to kl's school, talked with her teacher, she just got done with the big testing that day, she said take her and go! We did not tell the kids at all, they knew we were going away for the weekend anyway just the 2 of us, my inlaws were going to keep them, so that Friday night they kept them as planned, and David and I , packed for a weeks beach vacation, we showed up the next morning and told them we decided to take them with us for our trip, they were excited! We did not say where we were going, or that Kl was out of school, in Dothan AL. Nat did say, hey this is the way to the beach, we tried to keep them entertained with DVD's We were almost there, when they did not want a dvd on after Shrek went off, we tried all kinds of things, I spy etc.... trying to keep them entertained until we hit the bridge, well finally we made it to the bridge and we had 2 very excited girls! Kl had it double when she found out she was out of school, lol
Natalie considers the beach house hers, just the day before she cried asking to go, we all love the place, but she LOVES it! As soon as we get there, she is first in the house with her bag, and unpacks her clothes.
It was to cool to go swimming, but we had a great time! The lady who owns the place, daughter and husband is buying a townhouse down the road from us, so we stopped and was talking to her on our way back to Lowes and we were explaining how Nat feels about the house, so it is now called Nats house, and Nat was told it was hers, oh boy!

I am so tired I can sleep standing up, but I have crown moulding to paint today and then hang it later.
Anyone want to buy a house for 1 Billion dollars? LOL

SORE SORE SORE

Oh my! We have been working since Friday on our den, hopefully by next week it will be done. First coat of paint is on the walls, I have to do the second coat sometime today, and maybe we can start laying the floor late this afternoon, finish up floor tomorrow. Thursday is our 15th wedding anniversary, we are SUPPOSE to go away, just the 2 of us! We were thinking theme park, but right now I think we are thinking , hotel room, with jacuzzi, lol We are so sore, and we are doing it all by ourselves! Funny how quiet the phone is when you tell people you are going to be working on something. Oh well, we have had a great time doing it, Stuart and his wife did stay the weekend with us, and they entertained the girls for us, that was a BIG help.
Pictures to come as soon as we get done, already looks so nice!

Kohls

We finally got one here. They have been building that place since November last year.
They have been open since Sunday, but the grand opening was today with sales.

I was waiting until today to go, opened at 8am for the doorbuster prices, I had my flyer plus the 10.00 off they mailed me :)
Nat and I got in line at about 7:50, way at the back of the line, lol I was going for the 9.99 electric griddle, Hamilton Beach coffee pot, 2.99 towels, I was ready! By the time I got to the back of the store for the coffee pots, they were gone. Had to wait for them to get more from the back, finally a man was bringing a ton and by the time he got to where all us people were waiting they were gone again. So we wait some more, I was waiting on the coffee pot for my mil, it's reg 39.99, for 9.99 I will wait. Someone hit my elbow and said "what are you doing here" it was my daughters homeroom teacher , I said "Hey, and who has the class, lol" They are allowed 1 hour off in the mornings once a month, today she took hers to get a coffee pot,lol So we are waiting and talking, and all of a sudden she just took off, I thought ok? finally I saw her in the throng with 2 boxes over her head, she had saw the man coming and ran and got her one and me one,lol
Then off to the towels I go and they are big and nice, on sale for 2.99, the 12 pack of wash cloths were also 2.99, reg, 7.99 and 9.99 so I was happy.
The griddle I wanted was not the one on sale for 9.99, it was the small one, but the big one was on sale for 19.99 reg, 39.99 so I got both, the big one for the house, and the small one, (which ended up being free with the 10 off) for the camper we are getting this summer.
Nat was a gem this morning, she saw some flip flops she loved, they were half off, reg 12.00 got them for 6, I have never paid that much for flip flops! but she was good as gold and these are cute, lol Checkout lines were very long, wrapped around the store, but they were good in having employees there making sure when one was short enough to get you in, so it went pretty fast, finally she got me in one, I thought this is good, only 2 people in front of me, but the first lady had a ton, but wanted to ring it all up 4 seperate transactions, finally i get there and a lady is standing where there are no buggys, by this time they are all gone, she was holding her crying toddler, she asked me if she could follow me to my car so she could have my cart, I told her just take it, I have been there before with a crying child, the lady bagging all my stuff said how are you going to get all this stuff to your car, I said I will find a way, well I ended up with 4 large bags of towels, plus a coffee maker and the griddles, lol she finished bagging and then loaded up her arms with my stuff and said lets go,lol Really nice, could not ask for better service today.
Overall I think I bargain shopped really good today, if I had bought at full price would have been right at $400.00, but only paid $105.00 for mine and my mil stuff, so I was pleased.

Instant Messenger Etiquette

I think there should be one, for my husband.
He gets on and says something to me, talks for a bit, I come back with a answer or question, but most of the time he has disappeared. GRRRRRRR how hard is it to say, got to run, getting busy etc...... I do that to him because I know he is busy, if I have to run and unload/load the washing machine etc...
Oh sorry i forgot, I am suppose to be sitting around watching tv and eating bon bons! Where is my brain.

Sleep Please!

I just need some sleep!
Tuesday Morning Dh woke up sick as a dog again, throwing up and all other stomach ailments, plus a fever, I begged him to get to the docter NO! finally by 3pm he was ready, he could barely move, he was very dehydrated, plus had lost quite a bit of weight in 1 day, they gave him a shot of phenegan and I took him home and got him back in the bed. He slept the rest of the day and night and part of the day yesterday.
I have bleached and lysoled this whole house, the washing machine has been running non stop, I have washed everything!
Sleep, I don't even know what that is right now, I myself have just gotten over being sick this weekend, but really that week I only had 1 day to rest, even sick I was washing and having to take care of kids, then when dh got sick again, I was up all night checking on him, plus 2 dogs in the bed and Nat who sneaks in STILL to sleep with us.
My appetite is still not back, I feel bad, the kids have lived off of , grilled cheese, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, thank goodness I had stocked up on snacks, grapes, baby carrots and apples. Yesterday I had forgotten I had bought hotdogs, kids were so excited, poor things. Hey at least they were fancy grilled cheese, I have a sandwich maker, just spray and heat that baby up :) and then wipe down when you are through :)
Dh's birthday is Monday, I have gotten him nothing yet, I HAVE to go get car tags sometime today or tomorrow, this is the lateest I have ever waited, but we have been sick, plus I will be sick after I pay,$ 780.00 for 2 tags, lovely State of GA.
This weekend we did get the floor ordered for the den, YAY! Means I need to hurry up and get some strength back so I can finish the den. Then that means time to start painting the outside of the house, at least it will be a change of scenery, lol
Lena had a vet appt. this morning but I called and changed that until next week, her last one, until she is a year old. She is turning into the most loveable sweet dog :)
My dad wil be in here sat. so I need to get all the above done, I will not clean the den until tomorrow night, I have let the girls have that to play in, it's clean, just a ton of barbies and all the little things that go with them.

Where am I , who am I?

Ahhh yes just about 3 weeks ago I was thinking to myself how we have not been sick all winter.
Next time I wil keep my mind from wandering!

Flu hit Nat about 8 days ago, then Kl, then you guessed it, dh and I. My dad and stepmom came in Friday morning, it hit dh that evening, by Saterday morning I had it, we layed on the couch and were fed pills and fluids, I felt so bad because my stepmom was only going to be here until Sunday plus I have not seen her in years. Over all it was a very good visit!
Maykayla has grown! she is beautiful! She is here now and will be until March while my dad is running a field trial in Arkansas and they had no one to watch her. Her and Nat have hit it off!

Dh and I now have Tamiflu and the best cough medicine the docter can subscribe Love the stuff, taste like lemon drops :)

Growing Puppy

She has grown so much! The picture on the left is the day she was found, the picture on the right was yesterday, she was waiting patiently for the school bus.

She was 4 pds 7oz when we got her, 2 weeks ago she was 12pds 9oz, she goes next Thursday to get her rabies and license so we will see then how much she has grown in 3 weeks.

I don't know what she is going to do when she gets her license, she loves to play with buttercups on her collar, lol

The top picture is them both looking for the bus. They do this everyday rain or shine, and this day it had been raining.

Woke up to sirens

http://www.walb.com/Global/story.asp?S=7788995

We live next to this highway, it is a 4 lane, but between us and the highway are trees and a fence.
The part this happened at was in direct line with my front door.
I kept hearing more and more sirens and told DH that it must be a bad accident, I got up and opened the front door and could see a tons of firetrucks, police, ambulances, and a crime scene van, I knew then that somebody had died.
I left to take oldest to school and took our normal route, well they rerouted the on and off exits from that part to down the road I take every morning to school, and then there was a accident on that road, someone pulled out in front of someone, why do people drive so crazy!
It is now 10am and the last of the emergancy crew just left.
Why would someone be walking in the middle of the highway?

If you watch the video, this looked to be quite a while after it happened, they had blocked the road with tons of police cars and firetrucks to keep the other lanes from seeing body parts, and most of the police cars are gone form this picture.

Changes

Do you like change?

I do, well in some things, except for my computer.
My husband has always been a computer guy since he was a teen, he has gone from working in a computer store to repair to now being a manager for one of the big computer companys, I do not like him touching MY computer, I start the eye twitching just him sitting at it.
I am one of those girls where once I get use to the way it works leave it alone! I about cried when I had to go to IE 7.
I walk in last night to find him sitting at my computer, well warrior comes out in me, just think of those Capitol One commercials with the Vikings, all is well I think, he was putting a newer version of Microsoft office on my computer, he said I would need it for my new job, which is true, but I have yet to open it and look at it, scares me.
He has been trying to talk me into Windows Vista, forget that, sword play will come into this fight!,lol Leave me and my XP alone, I think Bill Gates should have to consult me before he changes things. LOL

Life changes, I can deal with those, Lord knows I have been through enough of them.

As of tomorrow DD's 1 friend will be riding the bus home with her from school and spending until her mom gets off of work that evening with us, should be interesting, double homework, double giggles, because all those 2 have to do is look at each other and know what the other is going to say, and giggle.

Oh what an exciting day.

Yesterday morning I was trying to get out the door to get Kaylynn to school, normally we are out the door at 8am, but I am so glad we did not, at about 8:03am the phone rang, it was my brother Stuarts cell on the caller ID, I thought maybe he was on break and calling to say hi, nope! I could barely hear him, I had to ask twice, "what are you saying" finally I heard him, please come, a beam fell on me. He works for a steel company.
David was still here at the house, I yelled to him what happened and that he had the girls, felt like it took me forever to get there even though his job is right behind us, well there are woods between us, I have never broke the speed limit but yesterday I did, they had men posted at several places waiting on the ambulance so I was directed to where he was, they had already moved him by the time I got there, he was in a office shaking so bad he could hardly talk, all he kept saying was how bad he hurt, I heard the sirens for the ambulance coming as I had gotten out of my car, so I knew it would not be long before they got there.
They told me it was his shoulder and I pulled back the collar on his shirt, it looked bad, bruised, bleeding and appeared to be broken, I did not care who was in the room, I immed. started praying for him, no broken bones in the name of Jesus! EMT's got there and looked him over and now I could here what happened, the beam was on a crane and it shifted in weight and started headed for him, it hit his hard hat first and then slammed into his shoulder knocking him down, his hard hat saved his life! Praise the Lord for plastic.
They looked him over and asked him if he wanted to go by ambulance to the hospital or I could take him, he said he wanted me to take him, they put him in my car told me not to speed but to drive smmoth, no bumps, I was like ok, where I just drove through to get to him is all dirt and potholes, but I did good and did not make him yell in pain, just kept talking to him to keep his mind off the pain, we got to the hospital, the EMT's must have radioed ahead because they took him on back, by the time we got there his wife was already at the hospital, I waited in that waiting room for hours, I knew he would be in x-ray, and he had to have a drug/alcohol test since it was a work related accident, of course he passed those. Fianlly I went to the desk to ask how he was, and I was allowed to go back, we waited on his x-rays and finally they came back NO BROKEN BONES! He does have a really bad bruised ligament and will have to see the orthopedic docter on Friday morning before he can be released to go back to work.
What a day I am telling you there is never a dull moment around here.

A new member of the family

Actually we have 2 new family members, my new Sister in law, whom we all love and adore, and Lena our new found puppy. And I have no idea how to get these pictures where I want them!

A new season

Yes a new season for our family. For the past 12 years (1995) we have raised my siblings,(4) well not all of them in 12 years, over the years they moved on with their own lives. This past December the last one moved on with his life. WOOHOO! In that 12 years we had 2 daughters of our own, and for the first time it will just be us and our daughters.
We are so excited at where we are right now in our lives, things could not be better, spirtiually we are where we need to be for right now, it is still a learning process, but wow at what finally has sunk in after being a Christian for many years. We are still under construction in this house, have been since June 2007, but by the end Of February things on the inside should be 100% complete.
So bear with me as I am new to this blogging thing.
